At Home Not Under Hospice Care:

When a death occurs outside of a medical institution, and the person is not under hospice care, then it is necessary to first call the coroner or medical examiner to confirm the death. This may be done by calling your local Police or Sheriff’s Office (911). Once the coroner or medical examiner has arrived, let them know of your preference to contact Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center for further information or assistance.

At An Institution:

When death occurs at a hospital or nursing home, the medical staff will generally take care of the necessary legal steps. Death Out Of State Or Long-Distance:
