Terry "T.J." Perkins Obituary

Terry “T.J.” Perkins, Age 40 of West Alexandria, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 6, 2023. Terry is proceeded in death by his grandfather and grandmother, Houston “ED” and Joanne Bundy and his beloved dog, Scout. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Perkins, mother, Christine Perkins, sister April (Kevin) Fuller, father and mother-in-law, Ronald and Dena Depew, brother-in-law's, Shain (Amanda) Depew and Nate (Amanda) Grote, nephews, Houston and Connor, nieces, Kasey, Addison, Haley, Jonalin, and Rylin, aunt Cheri Bundy, uncles, Steve (Charee) and Terry Bundy, and his cousins Erik, Justin, Dylan, Katie, and Kelsey. And many more relatives who loved him dearly.

Terry was very passionate about nature and the outdoors. He loved to hike, camp, fish, hunt, and cook meat in his wood smoker. He was best known for his love of history and his hobby as a historical impersonator. Terry was an excellent tailor, hand sewing nearly all his historical clothing from scratch. He was an active member of The American Mountain Men Association and loved nothing more then sitting around a campfire with his beloved friends from all over the country.

In his short 40 years on this Earth, Terry touched so many lives with his one-of-a-kind tenacious personality, sense of humor, and generosity in helping others in any way he could. Terry lived for his family, friends, and his four dogs (Darla, Leo, Millie, and Sumac) who were like his children. His legacy will live on in those who he inspired in not only the reenacting world, but as well as in everyday life. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

A visitation will be held at Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center (3377 US East, West Alexandria, Ohio 45381) on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023, from 3pm to 6pm. Service to follow promptly at 6pm.
