Randy “Gizmo” Rust
60, of Brookville, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021.
He was born May 17, 1961, in Dayton.
Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Guy Terry McCoy; niece, Terri Amber McCoy; stepdad, Edward A. Cook; and mother-in-law, Juanita Price.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Kim Rust; children, Janice “Nikki” Hensley, Ashley Miller, Becky Rust, Chrissy Rust, Scott Rust, Abbey Brock; stepson, Jason Lewis; grandchildren, Jason Miller, Sophia Stanley, Cody Stanley, Wyatt Miller, Waylon Vogue, and Cosmo Hensley; mom, Thelma “Babe” Cook; brother, Danny McCoy; and sister, Lisa (John) Noe.
Randy was a member of the U.S. Army, a retired truck driver, and an avid motorcyclist. He loved his Harley-Davidson’s and being outdoors hunting and fishing until his later years when his health would not let him enjoy it like in years past. He “enjoyed spending time at the local pubs with his many friends and fellow bikers and wants to thank them for always being there. He will greatly miss you all.”
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 18 from 11AM to 12:30PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, 3377 US Route 35 East, West Alexandria, 45381. The funeral service will begin at 12:30PM with Deacon Robert Crook officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria.
