Irma Goddard Obituary

Irma Mae Goddard, 97, of New Lebanon, OH, went to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon, June 16, 2019. Born January 4, 1922 in New Castle, Wyoming, she was one on eight children born to the late John Harrison and Elizabeth (Miller) Chambers. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she traveled and ministered with the Salvation Army in her younger years. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, macrame, crochet, ceramics. The family remembers her pie baking and cooking skills. Irma and Roscoe enjoyed travel and visited most of the United States. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by son David Ross Goddard on May 23, 2018; and 7 brothers and sisters. Survived by husband of 75 years Roscoe B. Goddard, whom she married October 6, 1943; sons Randy Blaine Goddard and wife Sharon of Lewisburg, OH and Stanley Allen Goddard and wife Diane of Brandon, MS; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; and special niece Edith Deeter of New Lebanon. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening June 18, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. A service to remember and honor Irma's life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastors Eric Walters and Richard Gifford presiding. If desired, memorial contributions may be made for the purchase and distribution of Bibles, to Gideons International, online or through your local chapter.
