Glenn McTeer Obituary

Glenn C. McTeer, 58, of Camden, OH, passed away on Thursday afternoon January 28, 2021 following a lengthy illness. Born December 28, 1962 he was the son of the late Olen W. McTeer and Margaret A. (Moses) Leach. Glenn was a 1981 graduate of Valley View High School where he participated in football, wrestling and track. After graduation he worked four years as a machinist for Brent Enterprises before having to leave work on a disability. He survived for 36 years after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor that was supposed to take his life. He raised his two sons on his own and was loved and admired by those who knew him. He enjoyed shooting pool and fishing. He is preceded in death by mother Margaret Leach on August 1, 2020; father Olen McTeer in 2004; step father Tom Leach in 1991; and sister Teresa McCown in 2019; sister-in-law Barbie McTeer. Glenn is survived by sons Kyle McTeer and wife Bridgette of Fairborn, OH and Justin McTeer of New Lebanon, OH; grandchildren Cheyanne McTeer, Hailey McTeer, Colton McTeer, Layla McTeer, Kirsten Scott, Joshua Scott and Austin Scott; great grandchildren Erica Scott and Gunner Scott; brother Kimloe McTeer and wife Dawn of New Paris, OH and sister Penny Boomershine and husband Boomer of Eaton. and John McTeer of KY. A memorial visitation and service for Glenn will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 PM on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center - 3377 US Rt. 35, West Alexandria. An informal and brief service will begin at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Family and friends are encouraged to participate by sharing memories and stories of Glenn. Following the service, the family invites everyone to gather at the Eaton Youth Activity Center at the corner of Park Ave. and Decatur Street in Eaton.
