Bob Wininger

78, of West Alexandria, went to the Spirits in the Sky, Tuesday December 28, 2021.

He was born February 18, 1943 in Cumberland, Maryland to the late Mary B. Twigg.

In addition to his mom, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Twigg; sister, Josephine Hanes; and his Grandma Bagly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, JoAnn Wininger; children, Nancy Ann (Casey) Abrams, Bobby Lee Wininger (Brittnee Kay-Lynn Nelson), and Sherrie Ann (Shannon Lee) Rader; grandchildren, Jacob DyLan Abrams, Madison Paden Abrams, Aaliyah Faith Nelson, Rylee Juliette Sandlin, Daniel Robert Bradshaw, Zachry Michael Bradshaw, and Chester Anthony Rader; brother, Earl (Debbie) Wininger; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Karen Vires; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Tim Mininger; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Bob Andrews, Jeff and Tina Brown and family, and the Webb families.

Bob was a very proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, who served in the Vietnam War.  As a carpenter by trade, he owned RLW Custom Roofing for 30+ years.  In his spare time, Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, playing the guitar, and traveling.  Christmas was his favorite time of year.  More than anything, he loved his grandkids.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 5 from 12PM to 2PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, 3377 US Route 35 East, West Alexandria 45381.  The funeral service will begin at 2PM with Pastor Albert Reffitt officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Immediately following the burial, a Celebration of Life will be held in the Community Center inside the funeral home.
