Annette M. Owens

Annette Marie Owens, age 78 of West Alexandria, Ohio passed away Thursday August 11,2016 at Vancrest in Eaton, Ohio. Born November 11, 1937 she was a daughter to the late Peter H. Sr. & Georgia (Monfort) Courlas. Annette had a love for music. She spent many years teaching piano, organ and violin; as well as music ministries in many local churches in the preble county area. She loved to spend time with family, and will be truly missed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Donald B. Owens: brother George Courlas: brother- in- law Bill Owens & wife Joanne. Survived by her daughter Donella & Dale Hobbs of Eaton: son Gregory & Annette Owens of Eaton: grandchildren Brook Paxson of Trotwood; Brandy & Munir Shafeek of Trotwood; Jeremy Hobbs of West Alexandria; Corey & Brittany Owens of West Alexandria; and Sasha Owens of West Alexandria: 12 great-grandchildren: siblings Harriet McConnell of Huber Heights, OH; Mary & Arnold McConnell of Germantown; Peter Courlas, Jr. of Dayton; David Courlas of Anderson, IN; Timothy & Linda Courlas of Columbus, OH; sister- in laws Linda Courlas of Canton, OH ; Jean & Dale Harper of Springfield, OH: as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Friends may call on the family from 5:00- 8:00 PM Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH.
