Wilgus Back

Wilgus Back, 69, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his home. Born in Hazard, KY, he was a son of the late Burnam Back & Cleta Mae Fugate-Noble. Wilgus worked for 50+ years as a self employed bricklayer in the greater Dayton area, and was a former member of the Homebuilders Association. He enjoyed horseshoes and hosted weekly tournaments across from his Jefferson Twp. home. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by step father Burl Noble; granddaughters Kristie Back and Brittney Stover: and step sister Donna. Survived by wife Mary C. (Forgy) Tipton-Back whom he married June 21, 1986: children Doug (Rhonda) Back of New Lebanon; Greg (Gail) Back of Camden, OH; Donna (Whiskers) Back of Camden; Susie (Mike) Metcalf of Moraine, OH; Jeff (Pam) Tipton of St. Paris, OH; Susie (Charlie) Mullins of West Carrollton, OH: 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren: brothers Vernon (Kitten) Noble of Englewood, OH; and Burley Noble of Dayton: sister Marie Smith of Cleveland, OH: step sister Geraldine of Dayton: aunt Thelma Begley of Amelia, OH: special friend Steve Rich of New Lebanon: and a host of other family and friends. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH.
