Ursula Shafer

Ursula Shafer, age 74, of Eaton, OH, passed away Monday evening, May 27, 2013. Born in Idar-Oberstein, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Henrich & Erna Geiss. She retired from Parker-Hannifin in Eaton. Ursula was a former ladies league bowler in Preble County, she enjoyed flower gardening, and was best known for her German baking and cooking. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Charles William Shafer in 2000: grandson Stephen Derrick Marcum Vonderhaar: sister Loni Iacopelli: brother Hans Geiss: sons-in-law Mark Rigsby and Steve Hannebaum: step son Kevin Shafer. Survived by children Cornelia Ann Rosenberger & husband Bill of Bath, IN; Diana Joy French & husband Glen of Eaton; Donna Rigsby of Connersville, IN; Ramona Sue Longo & husband Michael of Vandalia, OH; Renada Fay Hannebaum of Middletown, OH; and Mark R. Quante of Hamilton, OH: grandchildren Jason (Jamie), Cox, Jim Cox, Wesley (Aimee) Cox; Michael Manley, Angela Jensen and Jesse French; Shanon (Neil) Getz and Sarah (Brandon) Strait; Jennifer (Chris) Carsner; Stephanie (Duane) Chamberlain and Shelby Marcum; Darah Rae Quante and Drew Rachelle Quante: 19 great grandchildren: sisters Sonja Propst of Morgantown, WV and Marlena Geiss of Idar-Oberstein, Germany: step son Jeff Shafer of West Alexandria.
