Sandra Sue Buehler

Sandra Sue Buehler, 71, of West Alexandria, OH, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, March 2, 2021 following an extended illness. Born June 15, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Archie F. Nelson, Sr. and Bonnie Jewel (Brown) Murray. Sandy was a 1967 graduate of Trotwood Madison High School. On June 10, 1967, she married her sweetheart Walter L. Buehler and were together for 47 years prior his passing on June 20, 2014. She went on to graduate in the 1983 class of the Dayton School of Practical Nursing and worked for many years as an LPN at Heartland of Eaton and Harborside Nursing Home in New Lebanon. She was a member for over 40 years of the First Baptist Church in New Lebanon. Her children have fond memories of beach vacations in North Carolina and the numerous trips to visit Sandy's family in Tennessee. She was a big fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers and loved to watch Western movies, especially ones that included her favorite cowboy, John Wayne. She dearly loved her family and doted on her grandchildren. Survived by children Lee Buehler and wife Brenda of Eaton and Michelle Reynolds and fiance Terry Taylor of West Alexandria; grandchildren Hunter Nicole Buehler, Melissa, Payton, Christopher and Bryan Blinn, and Jordan and Dylan Kemp; 6 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters Donna Stukins of Eaton, Bonnie Smith of Englewood, Archie F. Nelson, Jr. of Dayton and David R. Long. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Friday, March 5, 2021 at Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Center - 3377 US Rt. 35, West Alexandria. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Trent Smith presiding, and conclude with a short closing ceremony at the graveside.
