Rodney Arndts Obituary

Rodney L. Arndts, 70, of Eaton, OH, passed away on Thursday afternoon, December 13, 2018. Born June 19, 1948, he was a son of the late Theodore John and Freda Mae (Parker) Arndts. A 1966 graduate of Northridge High School, he then enlisted in the USMC, but was honorably discharged after 2 weeks due to a paralyzed muscle in his left eye. He then began work as an apprentice with Ironworkers Local # 290 and retired after 37 years. Rodney loved to travel, camp, and watch his children and grandchildren play sports; story telling and his beloved dogs. He attended the Eaton United Methodist Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir. Rodney never met a stranger. Preceded in death by parents Ted and Freda Arndts; grandparents John and Olivia Parker; and brother Ted Arndts and his wife Lucille. Survived by wife of 48 years Debby (Good) Arndts; son Scott Arndts and wife Trisha of Eaton; daughter Veronica Pitsinger and husband Darrell of Eaton; grandchildren Grady, Maci, Hudson and Lincoln Arndts, Kylan, and Kurstyn Pitsinger; brother Dan Arndts and wife Wilma of Dayton; sister Bev Roberts of NC; along with nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Pastor Beth Vieira presiding. Friends may call on the family from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Burial Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
