Mitzie Harper

Mitzie Harper, 81, of Brookville, passed away Friday afternoon, December 20, 2013. Mitzie was one of ten children born to Harrison & Mollie (Cornett) Combs. She had worked 25 + years at the A-1 Cleaners in New Lebanon retiring as manager. She enjoyed cooking and working outdoors around her home, and was a big fan of UK basketball. She is preceded in death by husband Rene Harper on May 15, 1987: by her parents, 5 brothers, 4 sisters: and grandson Ben Moore. Survived by children Charlotte Combs of New Lebanon; Michael Moore and Kimberly Dunigan both of Brookville: grandchildren Jonathan Moore of West Lafayette, IN, Rachel Kramer of Sabina, OH, and Shawn Combs of Columbus, OH: 7 great grandchildren: sister Ann Williams of Jeff, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Monday, December 23, 2013 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Barry Quillen presiding. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the Ronald McDonald House.
