Herman Witt Obituary

Herman Witt, 93, of Eaton, OH, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019. Born July 24, 1926 in Irvine, KY, he was a son of the late Herbert and Frankie (Wiseman) Witt. He served with the US Army for seven months near the end of WW II. He retired in 1989 as a pipe fitter from Monsanto Corporation at the Miamisburg Mound Facility. A plumber by trade, he worked various places over the years including Allied Services and outdoor construction. Herman loved to fish and could fix about anything. He was a member of the Church of Christ and had served as an assistant pastor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death on January 24, 2014 by beloved wife Betty (Turpin) Witt, whom he married August 18, 1945; sister Barbara Vaughn; and brothers Howard, Calvin, Mitchell and Earl Randall Witt. Survived by children Jerry Witt and wife Debbie of Phillipsburg, Gary Witt and Wife Diana of Eaton, Kathy Campbell and husband Tom of Eaton; grandchildren Amanda Faulkner. Jason (Linda) Campbell, Stacey (Chris) Tibbs, Tyler Campbell and Bradley Witt; great grandchildren Kayla Campbell, Kelsey Campbell, Caitlin Faulkner, Braylen Witt, Hayden Moore, Madelynn Witt and Corinne Tibbs. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
