Edith Ayers Obituary

Edith R. Ayers, 89, of Eaton, OH, passed away suddenly on Wednesday afternoon, May 29, 2013 at Greenbriar Nursing Care Center in Eaton. Born in Marked Tree, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Lewis P. & Iva (Hogan) Roy. She was a dedicated and devoted mother who worked hard all her life to provide for her children. She retired from both McCall's Publishing in Dayton and as an operator with United Telephone. She also had worked at Baxter (Dayton Flex) in Eaton and Elliots Dry Cleaning, both in Eaton. She was one of the original members of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Eaton, and remained faithful to her faith and her congregation through all the years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sister Margaret Arnold and brother James W. Roy. Survived by children James R. Ayers & wife Argie of Fruitland Park, FL; Joyce Covey & husband Albert of Post Falls, Idaho; Sharon Beare & husband Cliff of Eaton; and Keith L. Ayers of Spokane, Washington: 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter: brothers Jesse L. Roy of Doniphan, MO and Joel D. Roy of Seattle, Washington. A Memorial service for Edith will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses - 229 Wayne Trace Rd. - Eaton, OH. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall. Arrangements entrusted to the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center, West Alexandria.
