Doris Hapner Obituary

Doris J. Hapner, 89, of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, March 29, 2014 at Van crest Care Center in Eaton. Born January 27, 1925 in Eaton, she was a daughter of the late Cecil Ray & Katherine (Freitag) Hewitt. She was a member of the Eaton Church of Christ, the Auxiliary of American Legion Post 215 of Eaton and member of the Eaton Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters Barbara Lawing and Hannah Mary Grilliot. Survived by husband of 70 years Lloyd E. Hapner whom she married November 25, 1943: sons Steven E. Hapner & wife Linda of Ainsworth, NE; and Charles B. Hapner & wife Nancy of New Paris, OH: 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren: sisters Katherine Rader and Linda Simmons both of Eaton. Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Pastor Paul S. Nichols presiding.
