Anna Guard

Anna Guard, 68, of Eldorado, OH, passed away Monday night October 31, 2017 following a lengthy illness. Born September 17, 1949 in Detroit, MI, she was a daughter of the late Phillip J. and Lillian E. (Engle) Adragna. Anna worked 20+ years as a cashier at the Kroger store in Richmond, IN. She was a born again child of God and faithful member of the Gateway Baptist Church, where she was involved in various outreach ministries of the church and previously sang in the choir. She had a servants heart and enjoyed helping others whenever she could. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters Patricia Onken and Bertha Adragna and brother Anthony Adragna. Survived by husband of 19 years Gerald V. "Jerry" Guard whom she married in 1998; children Roger Perry of Eaton, OH, Sheri Waxler of Eaton, and Jason Perry of Brookville, OH; step children Cari Henschen of Lebanon, OH, Joseph Guard of New Berlin, MD, and Blaine Guard of Eden, MD; sister Phyllis Schaupp of Topak, AZ; half brothers Jonathan Rehm of Bullhead City, AZ and Daniel Rehm; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives in Detroit. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH.
