Robert C. Darst

Robert C. Darst, age 84 of Clayton, OH passed away suddenly Tuesday morning July 12, 2016 at Good Samaritan North in Englewood, OH. Born March 20, 1932 he was a son to the late Carl H. & Eleanor (Murphy) Darst. Robert was a United States Navy veteran, having served from 1950-1952; he was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #487. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and gardening. Bob was a member of the Tipp City Church of Christ. Bob was proud to be a retired "over-the-road" truck driver; he loved spending time with his family and he will be truly missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son Robert W. Darst in 2015. Survived by his wife of 33 years, Susie H. (Grinstead) Darst: children Roxann (Marlin) Arrington of Arab, AL; Yvonne Lynn (Bob) Charles of Xenia, OH; Kevin H. (Lisa) Grinstead of Piqua, OH; Keith M. (LeAnna) Grinstead of Sacramento, CA: grandchildren Ryan (Megan) Culler of AL; Renee'(Willie) Parker of AL; Amber McReynolds of Xenia; Joshua McReynolds of LA; Kyley Hohenstein of Piqua; Siara Grinstead of Piqua; Dustin Grinstead of Celina; Rachel Grinstead of Celina; Kyle Grinstead of CA; Brice Grinstead of CA; and Bailey Grinstead of CA:11 great- grandchildren: special friends John Henderson, Jim Bair and Jim Green: as well as many more family members and friends.
