Herman H. Fugate

Herman H. Fugate, 86, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, August 23, 2015. Born March 24, 1929 in Napfor, KY, he was a son of the late Henry & Flaura (Tharp) Fugate. Herman was a proud veteran of the Korean War serving with the Army's 23rd Infantry Regiment. He retired from the Delco Division of General Motors in Moraine after 27 years and was a proud member of the U.A.W. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Elsie M. (Watson) Fugate on October 16, 2008: son Steven Fugate on January 31, 2012: brothers Carl, Paul, Hubert, Grover, Charlie, Dale, Henry, Jr., Robert, and William: sisters Mozella Cripps, Dora McKenzie and Irene Webb. Survived by sons Rick H. Fugate & wife Melinda of Middletown, OH; Timothy M. Fugate of St. Petersburg, FL; and James M. "Mike" Fugate of New Lebanon: numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews: sisters-in-law Shirley Fugate; Felcie Muncie of New Lebanon; and Ruby Flanary of Dayton. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 pm Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH.
