Francis E Newkirk

Francis Eugene Newkirk, age 77 of Eaton, Ohio passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, August 12, 2014 at Vancrest Retirement Center in Eaton. Born April 30, 1937 in Eaton, he was the son of the late Ben and Ruth (Marquis) Newkirk. Francis was a 1956 graduate from Eaton High School and retired from Standard Register in Dayton Ohio, and has since been with Lee Plastics in Eaton. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Eaton, and he had a love for sports including golf, bowling, softball and basketball. Francis is preceded in death by his parents, along with his two brothers Bob Boerner and Darrell Newkirk. Francis is survived by his wife Judy (Babington) Newkirk, whom he married February 14, 1959: daughters Patsy Blankenship & Todd Gartrell; Gail & Bob Allison and Brenda Lee: son Tony Newkirk & Danell King all of Preble County : grandchildren Tarin and Drew Azzalina; Lindsey and Tyler Allison; Lauren ( Allison) and Nick Webb; Samantha and JT Lee; Mark and Alicia Donaldson; Nate Newkirk; Brad and Tiffany Newkirk and Shawn and Jessica Collins: great-grandchildren Alina Hood, Tyson, Tristan and Regan Azzalina; Lily, Makayla and Liam Newkirk: brothers JD Newkirk of Dayton, Ohio; Tim Newkirk of Jonesboro, Arkansas and John Newkirk of Eaton as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday August 16, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church- 111 Lutheran Drive, Eaton-. Pastor Warren Reichert presiding. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 - 2:00 pm Saturday at the church. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria.
