Dale W. Gisewite

Dale W. Gisewite, 77, of Morristown, TN and formerly of Farmersville and Centerville, OH; passed away Wednesday morning, January 6, 2016 at his home. Born September 13, 1938 in Farmersville, he was a son of the late Burley & Ruth (Johnson) Gisewite. He worked for 30 years at Dayton Press and McCalls Publishing. He then worked for 10 years as a set-up technician for Howmet Turbine in Morristown, retiring in 2006. He enjoyed woodworking, making different types of furniture. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers and sisters Glenn Gisewite, Beulah Mendenhall, Viola Gisewite, Doris Swartz and Virginia Rose. Dale is survived by his wife Joyce E. (Collins) Gisewite, whom he married February 14, 1994: children Kim Luebbe & husband James of Middletown ,OH; David Gisewite of Germantown, OH; Phyllis Izor & husband Phil of Farmersville; and Joseph Gisewite of Monroe, OH: step children Glenda Jones & husband Phil of Loveland, OH; Debbie Trent & husband Paul of Morristown; Gary Johnson & wife Denise of Channahon, IL; Sandy Shaffer & husband Todd of Centerville; and Barbara Vance & husband Jeff of Beanstation, TN: 6 grandchildren, 15 step grandchildren: 7 great grandchildren and 21 step great grandchildren: brother Harry Gisewite of Farmersville: along with a host of nieces and nephews.. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Son-in-law Philip Izor presiding. Friends may call on the family from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Burial Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
