Cornelius "Neil" Cahalane

Cornelius M. "Neil" CAHALANE, age 93 of Eaton, Ohio passed away at his home Sunday, September 18, 2016. Born September 23, 1922 he was a son to the late Cornelius W. & Bertha (Logedrost) Cahalane. Neil loved the outdoors; fishing, rock collecting and hunting. He was a decorated WWII Army veteran, having served from 1942-1946. He was involved in the "Battle of the Bulge" and the "European Theater". Neil was a lifelong member of the Teamsters; member of the American Legion, Eaton; AMVETS in Eldorado; VFW in Eaton; and the Eagles in Eaton. He enjoyed spending time with family; and will be truly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter JoAnn Baker and sister Cecelia Cuzzart: wife Mary Ellen (Cochran) Cahalane. Survived by daughter Barbara (Bob) Arnett: sister Loretta M. Fischer: brother Daniel (Dorothy) Cahalane: 6 grandchildren: 7 great- grandchildren: 10 great- great grandchildren: as well as many acquaintances, family members and friends. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM Thursday September 22, 2016 at the Robert L Crooks Funeral Center, West Alexandria. Graveside service to follow at 1PM.
